Q: Where are your barbershop locations and what are your hours?
Nanaimo location: 309B Wesley Street, Nanaimo, BC — open Monday to Thursday: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, Friday: 10:00 am – 7:00 pm.
Ladysmith location: 410B 1st Ave, Ladysmith, BC — open every day: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.
Walk-ins with “Chris” are accepted at the Nanaimo shop on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from opening until close.
Services & Appointments
Q: What types of services do you offer?
We provide quality haircuts, beard trims, and grooming services at both locations. (As noted on your site: “Quality Haircuts & Beard Trims”)
If there are more specialty services (e.g. fades, shaving, express trims, kids’ cuts), you could list them explicitly here.
Q: Do I need an appointment, or do you accept walk-ins?
Walk-ins are accepted at the Nanaimo location when “Chris” is available (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays).
For other times and locations, appointments are recommended to guarantee your spot — it helps avoid waiting or disappointment.
Q: What is your cancellation or no-show policy?
3 strikes you’re out. here at Jonny’s We understand that life happens but if you’re not going to make it give us a call.
Q: How long will my appointment take?
A typical haircut or beard trim might take 30 to 60 minutes, depending on complexity and additional styling.
If you request extra services (e.g. more detailed shaping, product application), time may increase.

We accept all payment methods other than American express
Q: What is the expected tipping etiquette?
Clients are always welcome to tip as much or as little as they can afford. Suggested percentages will be shown on the debit machine.
What to Expect & How to Communicate
Q: What should I bring or prepare for my appointment?
If you have reference photos of the hairstyle you want, bring them — visuals help us understand your vision.
Be ready to describe (or use clipper guard numbers, approximate lengths) how much you want cut off.
Let us know in advance if you have allergies or sensitivities to hair products.
Q: What if I’m not sure exactly what style I want?
No problem! We’re happy to consult with you. Based on your hair type, face shape, and maintenance preferences, we can recommend styles.
You can also show photos or say what you don’t like, and we’ll adjust collaboratively.
Q: What if I want a little more taken off after the cut?
if the cut you asked for doesn’t work for you or if you want to change it were always willing to work with you to get it right. If you’ve decided to make a big change and you later feel like you don’t like it; as long as you come back within the same week you got it done we will make sure you get something you lov.
Maintenance & Frequency
Q: How often should I get a haircut or trim?
It depends on how fast your hair grows and how you want to maintain your look. As a general guideline, many come every 4 to 6 weeks for upkeep.
For styles with fades or sharper lines, more frequent visits might be needed.
Q: How can I maintain my haircut in between visits?
Use the styling and care products we recommend.
Trim sideburns, necklines, or beard edges lightly if you feel comfortable.
Avoid overwashing or using harsh products if possible; follow your barber’s care advice for your hair type.
We can provide you with product suggestions and a home routine.
Health, Safety & Cleanliness
Q: What health or safety measures do you follow?
We maintain strict sanitation: tools are cleaned and disinfected between clients, workstations wiped down, and clean capes/towels used.
Q: Do you wear gloves, or can I request that you wear gloves?
Yes — we can always accommodate safety or comfort preferences (e.g. gloves) if asked.
